Hemingway Daiquiri
This is the drink as Hemingway drank it at the El Floridita Bar in Havana, Cuba. Hemingway supposedly frequented this bar from the early 1930's when he lived in the area. Slowly, from the original daquiri recipe, he adapted the ingerdients and quantities until he came up with this cocktail. Now known the world over.
Glass
Ingredients
- ¾ oz Sugar Syrup
- 1 ½ oz White Rum
- ¼ oz Cherry Liqueur
- ½ oz Grapefruit Juice
- ¾ oz Lime Juice
Method
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well for 10-15 seconds or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosted. Strain into cocktail glass.
